Description Construct a 2,400 SF (40' x 60 ') liquid fuels distribution pump house to replace Bldg 870. Provide reinforced concrete footings, foundation, concrete slab floor, Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) walls, standing seam metal roof, and personnel doors protected by gabled canopies. The height shall accommodate required vertical clearances for a bridge crane hoist to facilitate the replacement and maintenance of pumps and supporting fuel infrastructure. Facility must accommodate two existing 800 GPM pumps currently located in Bldg 870, and four new 600 GPM pumps. The four new pumps are required because a total of six pumps are necessary to keep the system on line. Requirements include an emergency eyewash station with an instantaneous electric water heater, a 12' x 12' coiling overhead metal door on one side to allow installation of pumps, a control room equipped with an emergency shut-off switch, and a unisex restroom. Provide intrusion detection, and fire detection and suppression. Provide two exterior 16" diameter fuel manifolds with miscellaneous piping and connections, and an adjacent underground Product Recovery Tank (PRT), preliminarily sized at 1,000 gallons. In the fuel yard, replace approximately 6,000 LF of corroded above ground 6" diameter piping with anti-corrosion coated heavy wall piping sized and engineered to maintain 800 gallon per minute (gpm) delivery volume. Provide new three pump covered fuel fill stand. Demolish existing fuel lines, manifolds, and valves this project replaces. Demolish Bldg 870. Provide all supporting facilities including: utility upgrades, site improvements, communication support, lightning protection, and an access drive and paved loading areas for a complete and usable system. Comply with current antiterrorism/ force protection standards.
