Boiler Replacement at Cedar Creek Elementary School and Lacey Township Middle School

The work consists of but is not limited to the following: 1. General Both Projects - Cedar Creek ES and the Lacey Township MS: a. Boilers, heating water pumps and unit heaters will be replaced. b. Existing domestic water heaters will remain. c. Exterior wall louvers will remain. The HVAC Contractor(s) shall clean the wall louvers. Motorized dampers will be replaced. d. Boiler room controls systems will be replaced, unless noted otherwise. 2. Cedar Creek Elementary School, FVHD-5362A: a. Block A: 1) Exterior wall louver to remain for summer ventilation and for combustion air for existing domestic water heater. Unused portions of the louver will be blanked-off. 2) Abandoned expansion tank and the steel supports will be removed. Existing floor mounted expansion tank, will remain for reuse. 3) Boiler breeching will be removed and capped within the boiler room at the chimney penetration. 4) Boiler concrete pads will be in-filled and retained for reuse. Excess concrete will be removed to maximize floor space. 5) Heating water pump motors will be removed by the Contractor(s) and handed over to the School District. b. Block B: 1) Rectangular combustion air ductwork will be removed. Exterior wall louver to remain and will be fitted with rigid insulation and capped within the boiler room. 2) Abandoned expansion tanks and supports will be removed. Existing floor mounted expansion tank, will remain for reuse. 3) Boiler concrete pads will be reused. Excess concrete will be removed to maximize floor space. 3. Lacey Township Middle School, FVHD-5362B: a. Boiler breeching will be removed and capped at the roof level, above the existing roof curb. b. One of the two existing expansion tanks will be replaced. The newer expansion tank will remain. c. Heating water pump motors will be removed by the Contractor and handed over to the School District. 4. All other required work to provide a fully operational system, as indicated, in the drawings and specifications.
