Description

The project is generally described as rehabilitation of the existing 400,000-gallon elevated water storage tank located off South Church Street to include the following: removal of existing interior and exterior coatings, surface preparation, application of new interior and exterior coatings, recoating the piping (to include valves and associated appurtenances), removal of the existing cathodic protection system, welding any pits with depths greater than 10% of the plate thickness of the tank cone and bottom plates, seal welding the underside of the two stiffener rings on the exterior of the access tube, relocating the antenna cable and electrical lights fixture and conduit runs along the interior ladder, replacing the lights inside the access tube, replacing the gasket in the access tube’s pressure style manway, relocating the antenna cable on the roof to prevent tripping hazards, seal welding circular roof handrail posts to the roof plate attachments, installing a flapper valve on the overflow pipe outlet, and replacing the existing aviation lights.
