Description

constructing the following: all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals for the storm drain inlet repairs at various locations around the city as outlined in these bidding documents and plans. The principal items of work are: * 14 precast concrete inlet top replacements * 18 removal and replacement of reinforced concrete inlet tops (aldot type s) * 19 removal of existing inlets and replacement with new aldot type s inlets * 1 removal and replacement of grate inlet in alley * 10 sy repair of spalls in existing reinforced concrete inlet tops * approximately 137linear feet of removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter or valley gutter * approximately 130 sy of removal and replacement of concret driveway or concrete sidewalk * approximately 13sy of asphalt patching all bids shall be unit price. All bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided in these bid documents. Code of alabama as amended, "All owners, architects, and engineers receiving bids pursuant to this chapter shall require the person, firm or corporation to include his or her current license number on the bid." it also states that " it will be necessary for him or her to show evidence of license before his or her bid is considered." no bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or nonresident of alabama, is properly licnensed and qualified to perform the work described herein in accordance with all applicable laws of the state of alabama. This shall include evidence of holding a current certificate to engage in general contracting in the state of alabama, issued by the state of alabama licensing board for general contractors, montgomery,alabama, as required by section 34-8-2, code of alabama (1975). Proof of insurance coverages of the types and amounts as set forth in the project specifications will be required of the contractor, and any and all suncontractors, prior to beginning work. Site Directions: Project sites are located throughout the City of Helena, AL. Refer to project manual for individual site locations. This is a city-funded project through the city of helena. The proposed work shall be performed in comformity with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans for this project and the alabama department of transportation (aldot): * standard specifications for highway construction, 2022 edition, * standard and special drawings for highway construction, 2022 edition, the right to reject any or all bids is reserved.
