Description | The City of Springfield Massachusetts through its Department of Public Works is seeking bid responses from qualified vendors to establish a Price Agreement to supply sand. All sand must conform to SE-161 grading in lots as required and orders by the Springfield Department of Public Works. This bid falls under Massachusetts General Laws M.G.L. Ch. 30 B and sect; 5 and other procurement statutes. The purpose of this IFB and any awarded contract(s) is to establish unit prices in order to meet the City and rsquos requirements on the items listed on the pricing sheet. Selected vendor(s) must be able to furnish and deliver products to required locations, as decided by the DPW Director or his Designee, and must include all labor, supervision, tools, materials, insurance, profit and mileage fees within the proposed unit costs. The City will NOT BE OLBLIGATED to purchase any goods/services under any awarded contract(s). The City reserves the right to solicit other proposals for work that is not a part of this proposal. Service level is based on the needs of the City/DPW. The successful bidder must be capable of delivering a minimum of 500 tons in an 8 hour day. The estimated value of the contract is not to exceed $50,000.00. The term of the contract awarded is One (1) year in length. This bid is subject to M.G.L. c.30B andsect; 5. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than September 19, 2022 by 4:30 P.M. to Lauren Stabilo at lstabilo@springfieldcityhall.com . The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. |
