Description

The work includes the abatement of existing asbestos flooring from the second floor, minor historic stone masonry foundation repair, the installation of a poured concrete slab floor in part of the existing cellar, the installation of five (5) new cellar windows, the installation of two (2) additional first floor exterior doors, the installation of three (3) additional first floor windows with historic storm windows, the framing of a new front and side landing with steps to grade, the framing of a new wood bulkhead door enclosure atop the existing masonry cheek walls, the installation of exterior trim around the new openings, the removal of the first floor mothballing around the fireplaces with restoration procedures coordinated with the Architect in field, historic paint analysis for interiors. The replacement of the interior basement stair, the replacement of the staircases leading from the first floor to an intermediate landing and from the intermediate landing to the second floor (the intermediate landing shall remain), the replacement of the staircase from the second floor to the loft, structural repairs / reinforcement to floor and ceiling framing assemblies as noted in the plans, the rough framing of interior walls / partitions on the first and second floor, rough HVAC, rough plumbing, rough electrical, restoration of site utilities and meters (gas, water, electric, sewer, telecommunications), the installation of exterior shutters, and the exterior painting of new components.
