Description

The School City of East Chicago (SCEC) is requesting quotes for the new HVAC & Electrical Equipment at Harrison Elementary; 4411 Magoun Ave, East Chicago, IN 46312 McKinley Elementary; 4825 Magoun Ave, East Chicago, IN 46312 Washington Elementary; 2400 Cardinal Dr, East Chicago, IN 46312 B. At the present time the price quoted should be to deliver the HVAC & Electrical Equipment to the specified School building. SCEC anticipates having an installation contractor under contract by the delivery date to accept the HVAC Equipment and said contractor will ultimately accept the delivery of the units. However, for the purpose of this bid, assume there is no contractor involved in the project and the HVAC & Electrical Equipment will need to be offloaded from the delivery vehicle and placed in the locations coordinated with accepting contractor. This quotation form is limited to specified potential vendors. The equipment schedule and specifications are based on scheduled selection, but is expected that the alternative models quoted will be equal in size, configuration, and sound and energy performance. Any discrepancies from the required specifications shall be noted. All quotes shall include a complete engineering submittal for each piece of equipment, a completed bid form, and an expected delivery date for each piece of equipment assuming that the purchase order will be executed within twenty one days of the quote date. You can bid one or as many pieces of equipment as desired by manufacturer. When awarded, the equipment will be purchased via SCEC purchase order. Equipment is expected to be installed by others shortly after delivery in the summer of 2023. The warranty for the equipment will begin after installation is complete, not after delivery. No site visits will occur as part of this request for quote.Commissioning and startup services will be contracted under the contractor installation quote request that will be issued at a future date. Questions may be submitted to Schmidt Associates at bid2021-161.000@saix.schmidt -arch.com The owner will select equipment for purchase based on price, equipment performance / suitability, and delivery timeframe. Prior to awarding P.O. an engineering review will be done on all submitted quotes.
