Asbestos Abatement of Acm First Floor CCB

Emergency abatement of pipe insulation above the ceiling in the first floor of City-County Building. Existing steam lines are located above the plaster ceiling and five locations need to be abated in order to repair those pipes. Three locations have an access panel and two will need to be cut out. Attached please find recommendations made by CMI explaining what needs to be accomplished. In short, existing locations need to be abated three feet outside of the existing opening in every direction then a permanent barrier will need to be erected so city HVAC employees can work safely when fixing existing and future leaks. During the walk through pictures for the space above the ceiling will be provided. All work will have to be done after hours. Schedule will need to be coordinated with DPW staff before the work can begin. Start of work will be determined based on the EPA time line
