Description he project consist of the excavation, removal and disposal of sediment material on the upstream side of the existing concrete weir structure and throughout the diversion channel to the reconnection point with South Mayo River downstream. In addition to the rehabilitation of the upstream existing weir portion of the project, the diversion channel downstream portion of the project has severe sediment accumulation and will also be repaired. The project also includes the removal and replacement of the existing riprap scour protection above finish grade for both upstream and downstream sides of the existing weir structure. A portion of the existing riprap removed may be reused in the replacement of the riprap. The work involves the removal and disposal of approximately 12,700 CY of sediment material and the removal and/or replacement of approximately 2710 tons of riprap protection.
