Gulf Coast Veterans Health Systems Renovate Building 1

**As of July 11, 2023 this project will rebid but no definite date yet.** CONTRACT NO. VA101F-17-D-2902, 36C10F18R0660 36C10F23R0004 RFI SUBMISSION SHEET RFI NUMBER RFI RESPONSE 1 From my understanding, the amendment states that the ceiling lift portion (equipment only) will be removed from the scope of work for solicitation 36C10F23R0004. Instead, the ceiling lift equipment will be purchased directly by the VA in the future. However, the installation portion of the work will remain within the existing solicitation, making it the contractor's responsibility. Could you please confirm if my understanding is correct The intent is that the VA will purchase the equipment concurrent with this construction contract so that the Contractor can coordinate the installation with the other activities of this construction contract. The Contractor will be responsible for the installation of the system as outlined in the previous Amendment. 2 Furthermore, the initial solicitation was released as a sole source contract for Guldmann. However, it came to my attention that the justification for this sole source determination was deemed unreasonable and overturned. I would like to inquire if the new solicitation will be reissued as an open source contract instead. As Amendment A0003 changed the lifts from CC to VC, no new amendment will be issued or a new solicitation.
