Description | **As of December 30,2022 project was awarded to GEI Consultants of Michigan, P. C but awarded amount is not available.** PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SERVICES REQUESTED The DNR seeks the services of a qualified engineer to develop plans for dam repairs and culvert replacement at the following locations: Bald Mountain Recreation Area: 1. Prince Lake Dam Repairs 2. Lower Trout Lake Dam Repairs 3. Upper Trout Lake Dam Repairs 4. Upper and Lower Trout Lake Culvert Replacement Holly Recreation Area: 1. Heron Dam Repairs 2. Wildwood Dam Repairs Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area: 1. Minnewanna Dam Repairs The Professional Services Contractor (PSC) is to provide Phase 400 Preliminary Design, Phase 500 Final Design / Bidding Documents, Phase 600 Construction Administration - Office Services, and Phase 700 Construction Administration - Field Inspection Services. Please include the following in your proposal: o Design Review meetings to be held at a minimum of 50% and 90% reviews for Phase 400 and Phase 500 and as the PSC deems necessary. Microsoft Teams meetings are acceptable. o The PSC shall be responsible for running construction progress meetings twice a month for the duration of the project, including a pre-construction meeting. o Please include a probable cost estimate for the anticipated work o Two weeks review time is anticipated for each submission. Other items of note: o Work to include evaluation of existing gates (will need to send a diver down at Lower Trout and Heron). Lower Trout Dam draw-down gate has a bent rod and needs repair. o Wildwood has a submerged outlet pipe and will need a ROV camera. o All sites will need outlet pipe evaluation for replacement or new lining. o Minnewanna has a broken railing that needs replacement (Photo #8) and concrete patchwork at box culvert (Photo #21). o Heron Dam has a "boil" near the outlet with seepage issues in multiple locations and may need a monitoring well with stability calculations. o Erosion control recommendations are desired where footpaths deteriorate and require constant DNR maintenance.
