Description | Plans call for the construction of a new fire station. The site is currently wooded, most of which will be cleared to make room for the fire station. The size of the fire station is approximately 11,749 square feet. As of February 2, 2023, the project is in construction documents. An architect has been selected. The project is anticipated to be advertised for public construction bids in August/ September 2023. Construction is anticipated to begin in December 2023. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. _________________________________ The City of Raleigh, Engineering Services Department, Construction Management Division invites experienced and qualified design firms to submit qualifications for design, permitting, bid phase, and construction administration services to construct new Fire Station 3 for the City of Raleigh's Fire Department (RFD). This RFQ provides complete information on the services being sought, the submittal requirements and timeline. Copies of the RFQ may be requested by contacting Melissa Johnson with the Construction Management Division at melissa.johnson@raleighnc.gov. Questions Deadline: November 23, 2020 at 4:00pm Addendum Issued: December 1, 2020 by 4:00 pm The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
