Sound Transit Puyallup Station Access Improvements

Provide consulting, survey, design and engineering services for the Sound Transit Puyallup Station Access Improvements Project. City of Puyallup is seeking design services for non-motorized improvements that support pedestrian access to the Sound Transit Puyallup Station. The improvements include: Design of an intersection retrofit at West Pioneer Avenue and 5th Street south west to include streetlights, accessible pedestrian curb ramps and signals. ROW acquisition is anticipated. Design of a marked crosswalk and replacement of curb ramps, possibly at 12th Street North West and 3rd Avenue North West . Design team will meet with the Puyallup School District regarding the location. The crosswalk will also be evaluated for flashing beacons. Design of curb ramps at 5th Street south west /4th Avenue south west and 5th Street South West/5th Avenue South west given the midblock crosswalk. Design of accessible curb ramps where available ROW does not allow for use of the WSDOT standard plans, as needed. Design of improvements to the existing streetlights along 5th Street South west from 2nd Avenue North West to 9th Avenue South West.
