Description

The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, mobilization and demobilization (transportation), and supervision necessary to remove approximately 24 large trees from the Rose Bay and West Main Canals, located on the Mattamuskeet NWR. The trees were toppled and fell into the canals as a result of high winds from Hurricane Dorian. These canals are temporarily impassable due to the large trees that have fallen. Trees will need to be cut and removed from the canals to allow passable access by boats as close to March 30 (03/25/2020 – 04/25/2020) as possible or soon thereafter. Timing of work will need to be coordinated with the refuge manager to ensure public safety and coordination with other refuge operations.
