Description

Buncombe County is seeking candidates interested in providing architectural services for the evaluation, design and repair/replacement of the restroom facilities at Lake Julian Park. The architect/engineer will work with the County and the contractor(s)/subcontractor(s) to develop a plan for maximizing the recycling of materials in the demolition/construction process, minimizing the material going to the landfill. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials. tools, equipment, facilities, supervision, management, financing, services, shop drawings, submittals, testing, and other items necessary for the proper execution and functioning and shall make all installations and connections necessary, specified, customary, or otherwise appropriate to perform fully and lo complete in every respect the contract work generally described as follows: (Specification or drawing references included in the following statement of Subcontract work are applicable but not necessarily all inclusive): Sanchez Pool - 1616 Caffin St New Orleans LA, 70117: Pool - Broken Window Repair. - Window is shattered and needs to be replaced. - Investigate/Repair/Replace. - Replacement Glass. 1 x DGU: 1/4" Opti blue Solar ban 250 #2 Tempered / 1/2" Mill Spacer / 114" Clear Tempered 70-3/16" X 92-1 /16" 4 x Dow795 Cartridge Black Labor-Inst. - Start and test hot window system - Window to be fully functioning before leaving. Remove all construction debris and dispose off-site. Repair any damage caused to site during work performed. All materials, equipment, supplies, fasteners, and other items required to perform work tasks to be supplied and installed by contractor. All trash and debris to be removed by contractor and hauled off. Do not use City dumpster. Clean area when work is complete. Area to be ready for business use when finished. If any equipment ls found to be defective It is to be identified to owner for approval of repair/replacement. All material shall conform to the latest issue of all applicable standards established by NEMA, and underwriters' laboratories, inc. and shall bear manufacturer ' s trade and brand name. All work shall be installed and completed with the latest rules and regulations of the ASME, NFPA, NEC and all State and local codes and standards and such work not so installed shall be removed and reinstalled al the Contractor ' s expense. Warranties on all furnished equipment and industry standards on parts and labor, all manufacturers' warranties should apply. Personal Protective Equipment to be worn at all times and a safe working environment is to be maintainedB. Project Summary: Services provided by the firm or individual must include, but are not limited to: - A preliminary needs assessment of the park and the number of facilities required. - The evaluation of current facility conditions and the design for the repair and replacement of those facilities. - Design Services for repair/replacement of restroom facilities - Construction Administration - Permit Acquisition through all applicable Authorities Having Jurisdiction - A detailed plan for Landfill diversion will be developed. This plan will include a list of materials being diverted from the landfill and a measurable for those materials. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) core strategies and concepts should be used as a guideline Prior experience in Recreational Park Design and layout is encouraged.
