Description | Maintain designated Rights-of-way, and other areas. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials, and other means of maintenance necessary or proper for performing and completing the work. The Contractor shall clean up the work area and maintain them during the actual maintenance of the site, and shall do all work and pay all costs incidental thereto. The contractor shall repair or restore, at his or her cost, all structures, property of fixtures that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the work. Mowing: 1. Grass shall be mowed to an even height not exceed a maximum of four inches (4"). Litter and debris must be picked-up prior to mowing and the quantity of bags added to the monthly invoice. 2. All roads listed require mowing on both sides of the roadway. The road right-of-way widths can vary. 3. Each roadside is scheduledto be cut ten (10) timesduring each fiscal year of the contract in accordance with the agreed schedule. Payment will be at per cycle cost less any liquidated damages. The County reserves the right to request additional mowing cycles, if needed at the costs submitted below. Furthermore, the County reserves the right to skip mowing cycles at no costs, and at its sole discretion. The contractor should anticipate mowing in the months of February, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. 4. All paper and small trash debris will be picked up and removed prior to each mowing cycle. All small items (tires, tree limbs, etc.) must be moved prior to each mowing cycle. If any larger items are found (large tree limbs, appliances, furniture, etc.) the Project Manager shall be notified. 5. All mowing, weed eating, litter pick up, etc. should be done during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, excluding County observed holidays. Flexible hours may be allowed only upon obtaining written approval from the County Project Manager. 6. Right-of-way must be entirely maintained along the shoulder, swale front and back 15 slopes and flow-line. In the event an area is submerged under water, maintenance will be performed in that area at a later date. If bottom of the swale is submerged under water, maintenance will be performed up to the water line on the front, and back slope. Some areas may require the use of a boom type mower so that the shoulder, swale or ditches are not damaged. For Location Details See Page 12 to 13 in Invitation to Bid. | ||
