Description | Container Freight Contract is to provide for the construction of an approximate 74,370 SF warehouse on the existing COMEX site. In addition to the new warehouse, a new truck loading dock will be constructed along with office spaces as well as electrical and mechanical facilities. The base bid includes but is not limited to significant site work, imported fill, demolition, and new building construction as summarized below: 1. Sequenced demolition of various utilities and structures including warehouse slabs and foundations. 2. Rerouting of power to two facilities. 3. Removal, storage, and reinstallation of the Customs Canopy. 4. Temporary wall system for the Linea facility during construction including ancillary electrical and mechanical work. 5. Permanent wall system for the Oceaneering facility. 6. Removal and storage of the existing dock rail spur. 7. New approximate 74,300 SF (base bid) metal building dry bulk storage facility with new overhead doors, dock facilities, and walk through doors. 8. New approximately 240 SF receiving office, approximately 660 SF electrical/mechanical rooms, and approximately 1214 SF office space. 9. New concrete foundation/slab improvements to support building construction. 10. New 4' high CIP knee wall. 11. New electrical services, wiring, fire alarm, and lighting in the new building along with ancillary wiring in the adjacent facilities. 12. New mechanical systems in the new building including fire protection systems, roof mounted ventilation, louvers, and multiple HVAC systems for the office areas along with ancillary piping and duct systems. 13. New plumbing systems in the new building including lavatories, toilets, and water fountains for the office areas along with ancillary piping and vent systems. 14. Stormwater management and conveyance systems. 15. New roadway and parking asphalt as well concrete paving. 16. Site utility improvements. |
