Description

Market Survey for Tree Trimming at HCF The Federal Aviation Administration, Western Service Area, Northwest Mountain Region, is conducting a Market Survey to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Interested sources must respond with information to confirm evidence of their qualifications and capabilities. Responses to this market survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)), Small Businesses, Women Owned Small Businesses, or full and open competition. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. All interested vendors are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information. Therefore, any costs associated with vendor's Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested vendor's expense. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: This requirement is for Tree Trimming at Honolulu Control Facility in HI, throughout the Honolulu District in the Western Service Area. The Contractor shall supply all labor, supervision, tools, equipment and transportation necessary to perform Tree Trimming service surrounding the HCF building. This includes (34) Coconut trees, (6) Shower trees, (16) Kamani Trees, (4) Mango trees, (4) Monkey Pod trees, (4) Kiawe trees, and (44) Banyan trees. 1. Prune and trim all Coconut trees. Trimming includes removal of all the loose, dying and wilted fronds and all coconuts. 2. Prune and trim all Shower trees, along the entrance, left and right side of the roadway through the guard shack, and front parking lot of flag poles. The shower tree nearest the smoking area lanai shall be cut to keep branches from hanging over walkway and cleared from the coconut and the plumeria trees. All trees must be cut with an eight (8) feet vertical clearance off the ground (base of tree). 3. Remove debris and all dead branches, including from trees hanging over or near roadways/walkways/solar arrays and dispose in appropriate landfill or recycling premises off site. 4. All trees near security cameras must be trimmed to provide an unobstructed field of view. 5. Chipping truck(s) shall be parked in three designated areas. 6. Perform trimming two times per year (semi-annually). The first trimming must be completed within 2 months of the notice to proceed issued by the Contracting Officer. The second trimming must be scheduled 6 months after the completion of the first trimming and no greater than 8 months period between the two services. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment, transportation, and other services needed to perform all tasks under this contract. The intended NAICS code is 561730 - Landscaping Services. The respective Scope of Work are subject to change before the final solicitation is advertised.
