Description

The City of Turlock (hereinafter referred to as the "City") is requesting proposals for qualified firms to provide Water, Sewer, and Storm Pump Repairs and Preventative Maintenance. In the heart of California's Central Valley, Turlock is the second largest city in Stanislaus County located 100 miles south of Sacramento, CA covering an area just over 16 square miles with a population of over 73,000. Turlock is a General Law City that operates under the Council/Manager form of government. There are five city departments including Police, Fire, Development, Municipal and Administrative Services. The work to be performed by the Contractor under this specification shall consist of performing water, sewer, and storm repairs and preventive maintenance for Municipal Services Department, but not limited to future purchases/installation of equipment The City of Turlock's Municipal Services operates the City of Turlock's Water, Sewer and Storms systems. Currently, the utility systems related to this contract includes twenty (20) water well sites, three (3) water storage tank, twenty-three (23) active storm pump stations, twenty-three (23) sewer lift stations and the wastewater treatment facility. The water, sewer and storm pumps include but are not limited to vertical turbine and split case horizonal pumps. The horizontal pumps include well depths up to 300 feet. Pump manufactures vary such as Fairbanks Morse, Floway, Peabody, Pentair Pumps, Paterson Pumps, Peerless Pumps, Prime Pumps, National Pumps, and Weir Pumps. Pump capacity currently ranges from 500 to 10,000 gpm. The City reserves the right, without limitation and at its sole discretion, to accept or reject any or all proposals and/or terminate this RFP process at any time, for any reason, without notice and with no obligations.
