Description

The proposed work consists, in general, of seismic retrofit of Leimert Boulevard Bridge over Sausal Creek, including wrapping of concrete members with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP), treating bridge deck with methacrylate and overlaying with polyester concrete, graffiti removal, structure (excavation & backfill), spall repair, replacing portion of railing chain, replacing utility supports, slope pavement, replace joint seals, fencing, roadway excavation, vegetation replanting, environmental protection, traffic control system, and other items shown on plans and Special Provisions. Locations- From CA-12 West/1-80 West take Exit 40 for 1-680 toward Benicia/San Jose and continue straight on 1-680 South for approximately 24 miles. Take exit 46 for CA-24 toward Lafayette/Oakland and continue on CA-24 West for approximately eight miles. Keep lefi at the fork to stay on CA-24 West for approximately two miles before taking the Exit 5A for Hayward toward CA-13 South. Continue onto CA-13 South for approximately two miles to take Exit 3 toward Park Boulevard. Take Park Boulevard and merge onto Trafalgar Place. In approximately 230 feet, turn right onto Park Boulevard, and then in approximately one mile, turn left onto Leimert Boulevard. The destination is the Leimert Boulevard Bridge spanning over Dimond Canyon Park. Question Deadline 03/16/2023 at 2:00 PM PT M by email to the DOT Project Manager. It is the Consultant responsibility to ensure that the email has been received. Questions Due: January 3, 2023, by 2:00 PM. by email to the Project Manager. Any addendum that materially changes the bid invitation shall be issued no less than 72 hours before the bid opening, unless the bid opening is extended by said addendum. Contract Days: 1460 working days Construction shall be completed within 257 working days from Notice to Proceed. Plant Maintenance and Monitoring shall start after project final acceptance and continue for 1203 working day Liquidated Damages: 4,800 per calendar day Bonds: 10% Bid Security; 100% Payment and Performance Bonds DBE Goal: 18.0%. Local business preference programs are not applied on federally funded projects.
