Description | Provide labor and materials to construct a parking lot. Work will include but is not limited to, clearing a woodland area between the Thomas Evans Community Center located at 7801 Dorchester Road, North Charleston SC, and the Doorway Baptist Church located at 7825 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC in order to construct a 35-space parking lot. Constructing a road to connect the two facilities (approx. 13,900 SF of asphalt including parking area) curbing, sidewalk (approx. 1,130 SF of concrete) and drainage. Relocating an existing light pole, tying the new road into the existing pavers at Thomas Evans and into the existing parking lot at Doorway Baptist Church. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, for an amount equal to not less than 5% of the total bid as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond will be furnished. Checks, regardless of form, will not be accepted. All questions from Bidders shall be directed to Denise Badillo, in writing via e-mail, dbadillo@northcharleston.org no later than 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 05, 2022 in order for your inquiry to be included in the final Addendum, which will be issued, if necessary to all bidders by the end of business on Wednesday, April 06, 2019. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding and to reject all Bids if it is in the Owner's best interest to do so.
