Description | For furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project known. This project shall include all work necessary to construct new asphalt pickleball courts including all associated coatings, striping, netting, fencing, etc. as well as all site work and storm sewer. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The successful bidder will be required to have a current occupational license in the City of Cold Spring before the Contract will be awarded. Proposals must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to bid date cannot be answered The Contractor shall do all the work and furnish all the materials, except as herein otherwise specified, necessary or proper for performing and completing the work of the Contract. The methods, materials, and appliances used, therefore, must be such as will produce the quality of work specified and ensure safety to the public and property. Access to abutting properties shall be maintained at all times except for temporary periods as herein stated. In the event the Contractor will be temporarily blocking the access to any property during some period of construction, he must notify all residential or business occupants at least 24 hours before said blockage to allow them time to move any vehicles in or out. No blocking of traffic will be allowed during the peak traffic hours of 6:30 - 8:30 AM and 4:30 - 6:30 PM. The contractor may temporarily block traffic for placement and/or removal of materials (i.e. concrete trucks, stone trucks, dump trucks, etc.). The length of closure should only be the time it takes to empty or load a truck and not exceed 15 minutes. All stacked traffic must be allowed to clear the roadway after each 15-minute period of closure before another period of closure is permitted. Construction work shall take place between the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday through Saturday. |
