Description | The scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures and services required for improvement of Prescott East Highway (PEH) from State Route 69 to Antelope Ln: A. State Route 69 to Copper Hill Dr. i. Remove existing asphaltic concrete by mill up to a depth of 4" and pave the roadway with 4" new asphaltic concrete (AC). ii. Widen PEH from Frontage Rd. to Copper Hill Dr. for the addition of northbound right-turn lane at Copper Hill Dr. intersection. The added pavement shall have a structural section of 6" new AC and 8" new aggregate base (AB) with a single layer of geogrid. iii. Construct new concrete sidewalk with new curb and gutter. B. Copper Hill Dr. to Sunset Ln. i. Pulverize existing pavement up to a depth of 9". Grade FDR base in-place per design plan prior to cement treatment. ii. Construct new 6 feet wide concrete median and install concrete roundabouts at 3 locations. iii. Install 2" new AB and 5" new AC over cement treated FDR base. iv. Widening northbound approach of PEH at Sunset Ln. intersection to add dedicated left and right turn lanes. C. Sunset Ln. to Antelope Ln. i. Pulverize existing pavement up to a depth of 9". Grade FDR base in-place per design plan prior to cement treatment. ii. Reconfigure PEH median near Sunset Ln intersection to add a southbound left-turn lane. iii. Reconfigure PEH median at 2 locations to accommodate the installation of 2 roundabouts. Remove and reinstall single curb along remaining median. iv. Install 2" new aggregate base over cement treated FDR base, and finish paving with 5" of new asphaltic concrete. Other associated work includes mailboxes relocation, striping and signage reestablishment, culvert installation and catch basin installation. Temporary erosion prevention with wattles shall be implemented during construction. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Bids shall include all applicable taxes and must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price bid, made payable to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors. Each proposal shall be submitted, either by hand, U.S. Postal Service, or other carrier to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, 1015 Fair Street, Room 310, Prescott, Arizona 86305. Yavapai County will not be responsible for those bids submitted that are not marked appropriately and/or sent to the wrong address. Bidders are invited to be present at the opening of bids, but absence will not be considered cause for disqualification. Bidders shall be responsible for any licenses or permits required by the regulatory agency of the State of Arizona that apply to the performance of this contract. The Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of Yavapai County. |
