Description | The Murphy Creek Lift Station (MCLS) is a critical facility that is required to operate without interruption. It receives raw sewage from a broad service area to the south and east of the MCLS. Additionally, it receives sewage pumped from the Senac Creek Lift Station. The age of the sewage varies entering the MCLS varies over the course of a typical day and week. This results in temporary periods of high hydrogen sulfide (H2S) levels in the operating wetwell, but not the out-of-service wetwell. The existing Splitter Structure controls which wetwell receives sewage. |
