Description | The location of the parking lot presents challenges in controlling storm runoff and sediment transport driven by Camp Creek after a storm event. The goal of this project is to reduce the maintenance by removing current and damaged sections of pipe rail fencing and replacing it with a more robust design and layout. Needle Rock Recreational Area is located on the Cave Creek Ranger District, Tonto National Forest. The site provides an access point to the Verde River that is heavily used by all recreational groups. The parking lot for the site is located at the confluence of the ephemeral Camp Creek and the Verde River. For this reason, the objectives of this project are to: A) Remove approximately 248 Linear Feet (LF) of existing and damaged sections of pipe rail; B) Replace the pipe rail with a new layout detailed in Appendix “A” of this document (Approximately 219 LF); | ||||
