Description

Project Locations: Site I - Wide Water Elementary School - 101 Den Rich Road, Stafford Courthouse, Virginia, 22554 Site II - Park Ridge Elementary School - 2000 Parkway Boulevard, Stafford Courthouse, Virginia, 22554 Site III - Edward East Drew Middle School - 501 Cambridge Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22554 Site IV - Ferry Farm Elementary School - 20 Pendleton Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia, 22405 Mechanical work includes, but is not limited to: A. Adding air handling units serving the existing Kitchen to provide HVAC. Air handling units are chilled/ hot water and connect to the existing chilled/ hot water distribution system. All new ductwork, supply diffusers and return grilles are provided to achieve proper air distribution. Each air handling unit will be provided with direct digital controls. B. Adding rooftop exhaust fans serving the existing Kitchen to provide HVAC with new exhaust ductwork and grilles. C. Adding rooftop outside air intake gravity ventilators. D. Replacing a VAV terminal unit that serves the Kitchen to provide additional capacity to this space. The new VAV terminal units will be fan powered equipped with hot water reheat coil that will connect to the existing hot water distribution system. The replacement VAV terminal unit will be provided with direct digital controls. E. Replacing a Type I Kitchen Hood to provide proper exhaust/ make-up air system in this space. All new ductwork, fans and make-up air unit, curbs, controls, and fire suppression system will be provided as a package from the hood supplier. 2. Electrical work includes, but is not limited to, disconnecting the mechanical equipment to be demolished and connecting the new mechanical equipment. Panels and breakers will be added or modified as required to accommodate the revised electrical loads. New circuits added for new mechanical equipment. Fire Alarm interface for replacement kitchen hood. Relocating of lights as required for replacement kitchen hood. Removal and re-installation of electrical ceiling elements as required for installation of mechanical work. 3. Architectural work includes, but is not limited to, removal and reinstallation of ceiling tiles required for access to mechanical work; and patching and painting of finishes affected by the mechanical work. Replacing ceiling tiles around replacement kitchen hood as required. Cutting, patching, re-installation of roofing systems where mechanical equipment is added and replaced. 4. Structural work includes, but is not limited to, structural modifications to accommodate new ductwork roof openings, hanging of new HVAC equipment, and rooftop curb support of new HVAC equipment.
