Architectural and Engineering Services for Aurora Recreation and Event Center

City of Aurora is planning to build a new recreation and event center to be located at 126 West Hadley Street Aurora, Missouri. In 2021, the City Council began discussions regarding the construction of a recreation and event center for the community. The City also completed a Community Survey and a Park Master Plan Survey to determine citizen interest in this proposed project as part of an update of the City’s Comprehensive Plan. After firm selection, the selected Architect(s) will be responsible for performing the basic architectural and engineering services that the City will further specify during contract negotiations. The contract agreement will provide payment for phases of work completed, with options, to proceed through all phases, or to discontinue work as the circumstances may dictate. The Architect(s) will be required to retain, and be responsible for, all basic engineering disciplines such as: • Architecture and interior design, • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection engineering, • Structural engineering, • Site plan design services including surveying, geotechnical work, civil engineering, and landscape architecture; and • Acoustics/sound dampening.
