James City County Marina Improvement Project

Work under this project consists of upgrading and reconfiguring the James City County Marina located adjacent to Powhatan Creek as much of the infrastructure has reached or exceeded its design life. The project will be conducted in 2 phases. Work under the first phase includes: 1. Dredging of Stage I of the basin to a depth of -4 (mlw) and disposal of material on a portion of the Jamestown Beach Event Park located at 2205 Jamestown Road 2. Demolition and replacement of an existing 670 feet of fixed dock and 40 slips with new floating ADA accessible dock system with 46 slips equipped with power and water hookups 3. Installation of a living shoreline to reconstruct the demolished shoreline where the fixed docks were located and 400 feet of vinyl bulkhead channelward of additional area of failing bulkhead 4. A dedicated canoe/kayak launch area Relocation of an existing fueling tank and controls with new dispenser and distribution line 5. Electrical and lighting improvements 6. Pedestrian improvements and asphalt repairs
