Parking Lot Repair

As of September 28, 2022, the project is anticipated to be awarded on October 18, 2022 Board of Trustees meeting. The proposed project consists of: -Remove and replace the entire asphalt lot, approximately 45,540 total square feet, paying special attention to any damaged areas, and entrances. -Mill 2 inches deep and haul off site. -Grade asphalt towards drains as appropriate keeping drains free of debris. -Remove and dispose of any damaged adjusting rings at catch basins and replace. -Sweep and prime all areas of milling, Prime will be SS-1 Prime tack coat. -Install 2 inches of compacted bituminous N-50 Asphalt Surface Course mix. -Roll and compact. -Clean up any debris from Library's property. -Re-stripe entire parking lot including handicap spaces, walkways, double yellow lane divider, and arrows. INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS: -This project is tax exempt. -Payment of prevailing wages is required for this project. -A Pre-Bid meeting is currently not scheduled for this project and should not be required. Contractors are required to review existing conditions and should contact Michael Lorenzetti (224-699-4121) at the library to inform him that they will be onsite for a tour of the grounds. -The Fox River Valley Public Library District Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any, and all bids or waive any bid irregularities. -The library will close as necessary for the completion of this project. -References from at least three current or past clients with similar project. -An overview of the company. -A timeline and project schedule. -A certificate of insurance.
