| Description | This project consists of the re-painting of the historic Ute Fire Lookout Tower on the Ashley National Forest. The Lookout Tower is on the National Register of Historic Places and will conform to the requirements of the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The project is located on the Flaming Gorge Ranger District of the Ashley National Forest, Daggett County, Utah. It is located approximately 51 miles North-West of Vernal Utah near Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The final stretch of road may require the removal of vegetation and will require consultation of the Forest Service to allow access for large equipment. |
