Description | The City of Aurora invites you to bid on the anticipated purchase of the following for use at the Water Treatment Plant Facility. Attached please find specifications and other pertinent documents necessary for you to respond to this bid invitation. The City of Aurora has a local preference ordinance that would apply to this contract. The contract period will be from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. It is recognized that for certain process chemicals sought, performance may vary depending on the specific product supplied. Therefore, vendors who can supply more than one specific product meeting a given specification are encouraged to bid each such product. The City of Aurora encourages minority business firms to submit bids and encourages the successful firm to utilize minority businesses as applicable. The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the full contract price, a Payment Bond, Public Liability Insurance, and Workers Compensation Insurance; all of which shall be acceptable to the City of Aurora. The City of Aurora reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any technicality, informality or irregularity in the Bids received, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional Bids or counter-proposals and to hold the best Bids for ninety (90) days from the opening date set forth above. The City further reserves the right to award the Bid to the lowest responsible Bidder whose offer best responds in quality, fitness, and capacity to the requirements of the proposed work or usage and therefore is in the best interest of the City. |
