Description | Butte County SB 863 Jail Project Questions due-Thursday, January 26, 2023 by 5:00PM Addendum will be posted by 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2023. The project consists of, but is not limited to, construction of an 35,706 square foot stand-alone concrete masonry detention facility (jail) with associated site improvements on 3.35 acres located at 7 Gillick Way, just north of the existing Main Jail located at 5 Gillick Way, Oroville, CA. The facility will include 134 beds (96 general housing and an additional 38 medical and mental health beds), medical and dental clinic, pharmacy, program and training space, staff work areas, a new intake and release area, and new visitation area. The contract duration is 730 calendar days. Contractor or subcontractor shall forfeit twenty-five dollars ($25) for each worker employed in the execution of this contract by the respective contractor or subcontractor for each calendar day during which the worker is required or permitted to work more than eight (8) hours in any one calendar day and forty (40) hours in any one calendar week as penalty for violation of California Labor Code section 1813. In addition, any work performed by employees in excess of eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week shall be compensated for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day at not less than 1.5 times the basic rate of pay in accordance with Labor Code section 1815. Each bid shall be made out on the Bid Form contained in the specifications. A cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid price shall be submitted with the bid as evidence of good faith that the Bidder, if successful, will enter into a Contract satisfactory to the County. The successful bidder, in addition thereto, will furnish Surety Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid covering payment of labor and materials, and one hundred percent (100%) of the bid covering faithful performance. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte reserves the right to reject any or all bids or alternate bids deemed not advantageous to the County of Butte, and to waive any informality in any bid received. The award, if made, will be executed within ninety-five (95) calendar days after opening of bids. |
