Description

For the construction of the Mountain Brook Filing 1 & 2 Subdivision Public Landscape Improvements per the Public Improvement Plans. The project generally includes construction and installation of ROW/public irrigation and landscaping improvements and all related work incidental to the completion of the project as per the acceptance requirements of Mountain Brook Metropolitan District and City of Longmont. There are three separate and distinct project plans, specifications: Mountain Brook Filing 1 Public Improvement Subdivision Landscape, Niwot & Fordham Greenway Landscaping (contained within the Mountain Brook Filing 1 Public Improvement Plans), and Mountain Brook Filing 2 Public Improvement Subdivision Landscape. Accordingly, there are three separate bid schedules (3 landscaping projects) for this project. The Contractor must complete and submit all bid schedules with their bid. The District intends to award Bid Schedule I plus any combination of the remaining bid schedules that fit the Districts needs. Bidding contractors must provide contact information to pick up the bid documents and, in that way, will be added to the Districts distribution list for the bid documents and any addenda thereto. Bids received after will be rejected and returned to the bidder. Bidders must possess the required licenses and insurance policies. Each bid must be accompanied by a qualification statement demonstrating present commitments, past performance, experience with comparable work, equipment available for this project, and resumes for key personnel who would be assigned to this project. No bid will be accepted from any firm, person, or corporation who is a defaulter to a surety or is deemed incompetent, irresponsible, or unreliable by the District. Each bid must be accompanied by a subcontractor and supplier list for proposed labor, services, and/or materials. Bidding contractors must self-perform a minimum of forty percent (40%) of the work. The District may choose to schedule interviews with select bidders following the bid opening. Basis of the award of the contract will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder as solely determined by the District. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid or combination of bids which in its sole and absolute judgment will best serve the Districts interest. The District intends to award based on the scope of Mountain Brook Filing 1 Subdivision Landscaping plus any combination of the remaining bid schedules that fits the Districts needs to one contractor. The successful bidder will be required upon the successful negotiation of a contract to furnish a payment and performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the value of the contract with a surety acceptable to the District. The Mountain Brook Metro District reserves the right to cancel this Invitation to Bid; reject any bid, in whole or in part; to adjust the quantity of work to be done as mandated by budgetary requirements; and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received; when it is in the Districts best interest to do so.
