Description

The Purpose of This Project Is to Construct Approximately 4.302 Miles of Highways 67 and 51 in Clark County. This Project Consist of Two Paving Alternates, Alternate 1 Asphalt Paving Lanes and Alternate 2 Concrete Paving Lanes, Clearing and Grubbing, Removal and Disposal Items, Earthwork, Aggregate Base Course, Achm Base, Binder, and Surface Courses, Cold Milling Asphalt Pavement, Portland Cement Concrete Driveway, Maintenance of Traffic, Minor Drainage, Erosion Control, Concrete Island and Walks, Rumble Strips in Asphalt Shoulders, Traffic Signal Items, Signage, Construct Seven R.c. Box Culverts (Total Length 187.92'), Pavement Marking, and Misc. Items. Routes: 67 & 51 Sections: 5 & 1 County: CLARK Length: 4.338 mile in length. This Proposal Contains the Job Special Provision "site Use (a+c Method)-calendar Day Contract" for Bidding in Which the Bidder Will Determine the Number of Calendar Days to Complete the Project. The Number of Trainees Required for This Project Is 7. The Percentage Goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (Dbe) Participation in This Project Is 9.0%. Questions Pertaining to Projects During the Advertisement Period Should Be Addressed to the Program Management Division at Pmd@ardot.gov. the Deadline to Submit a Question Is the Wednesday Prior to the Scheduled Letting Date. a Question Submitted After the Close of Business on the Wednesday Prior to the Scheduled Letting Date May Not Receive a Response. In Order to Have a Bid Considered, Contractors Must Furnish a Proposal Guaranty Consisting of Either a Bidder's Bond or a Certified or Cashier's Check in the Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount Bid. in Order for a Bond to Be Acceptable to the Department, the Company Issuing the Bond Must Be Named in the Department of Treasury Listing of Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies. the Underwriting Limitation of the Bonding Company Shall Be Adhered to. Any Excess (Between the Face Amount of the Bond and the Underwriting Limitation) Shall Be Protected by Reinsurance Provided by an Acceptable Reinsuring Company. These Contracts Are Subject to Normal Prequalification, Licensing and Bonding Requirements, Applicable Labor Laws, Non-discrimination Provisions, Wage Rate Laws and Other Federal Laws Including the Fair Labor Stand The purpose of this project is to place ultrathin bonded wearing course on approximately 17.290 miles of highway 63 in Lawrence and Randolph counties. This project consists of removal and disposal items, aggregate base course, fog seal, ACHM surface course, ultrathin bonded wearing course, cold milling asphalt pavement, ACHM patching of existing roadway, approach gutters, maintenance of traffic, guardrail, rumble stripes, pavement marking, and misc. Items. ARDS Acts of 1938. the Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title Vi of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Also Apply.
