Description | Training Building New 3-Bay Substation Contract E - Electrical Construction Work Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the Specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: CENTRAL ISLIP FIRE DISTRICT, clearly marked on the outside: Bid For: New 3-Bay Substation along with the bid date and the name and address of the bidder. Each Bidder must deposit, with their sealed bid, a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the CENTRAL ISLIP FIRE DISTRICT, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Certification of bonding company is required for this bid, see Instructions for Bidders section. Performance Bonds, Maintenance Bonds, and Labor/Material Bonds, as called for in the General Conditions and Bonds and Insurance Requirements are a requirement of each contract. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY (120) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted, waive any informality or irregularity in any bid and/or to accept any bid in whole or in part and/or to award or not award the contract, if in the opinion of the Board of Fire Commissioners, the best interest of the Fire District will be served. This invitation is an offer to receive bids for a contract. The successful bidder will be required to execute a formal contract in the form contained in the Contract Documents. |
