Utility Renovations - Mechanical

Phase 1 - replace 600 LF direct buried steam, condensate & compressed air piping between the central utility tunnel and Tallent Hall. The replacement includes excavation to expose the existing direct buried pipes, remove existing pipes, install new pipes, site restoration to match existing of all areas disturbed. Phase 2 - Waterproofing the top and sides of the existing, underground central utility tunnel, repair leaks in enclosure of the tunnel including addressing spalling concrete and filling in the 'crotch' areas at vaults with flowable fill. Drain tiles will be installed alongside the entire tunnel on both sides. Trees in the utility tunnel defined access areas will be removed. Replace steam expansion joint #4 and anchor A7 within the central utility tunnel and remove water valve WV-29 and water valve extensions near Tallent Hall. Excavation and shoring required.
