Description | Work consists of daily, weekly and monthly inspection and maintenance of the installed sprinkler system. The work specified herein shall be provided to facilitate the successful and ongoing operation of an automatically controlled underground landscape irrigation system, including system controllers and control devices, control valves, irrigation pipe, sprinkler heads and field wiring. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that complete facility grounds maintenance services is performed at Jacksonville National Cemetery located at 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218. The items and services shall be provided in a manner that will maintain healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance throughout the overall cemetery location. The overall responsibility of the Contractor is to plan, coordinate, organize, manage, and perform the activities described herein, which are required to maintain an acceptable appearance of the cemetery grounds. The cemetery is approximately 525 acres with approximately 85 acres developed, and the cemetery's anticipated burial rate will be 1600- 1900 per year. The Contractor shall be responsible for: (1) Providing all grounds maintenance services including, but not limited to: Regular mowing, edging, trimming, removal of leaves and debris, as well as, sweeping or blowing off roads and sidewalks, and trash removal. (2) Turf Maintenance: Proper fertilizing, weeding, sodding of turf. (3) Turf surrounding a headstone or marker is trimmed to its recommended height. (4) Plant and Tree Maintenance. (5) Maintenance of internment sites and headstones (6) Headstone cleaning and maintenance. (7) Headstone Setting and Alignment. (8) Sunken grave repair. (9) Transportation of caskets from committal shelter to internment site. (10) Snow and Ice removal. (11) Placement and removal the Avenue of Flags and Tent for Ceremonies. (12) Janitorial service of Administration, Maintenance Building, All Committal Shelters, Public Restrooms. (13) Pressure washing of all concrete surfaces to include but not limited to: sidewalks, curbing, Memorial Wall, Columbarium Walls including Niche Covers, Committal Shelters, Administration Building and Maintenance Building. (14) Maintenance of Reflection Pool. (15) Maintenance of Ponds and Pond Floating Fountains. (16) Maintenance of Buffer Zones around Ponds. Janitorial service for Administrative, Maintenance, Honor Guard Room & Public Information Buildings to include cleaning and sanitizing all public and employee restrooms, breakrooms, common areas and showers. Service will include monthly waxing of floors at Maintenance Building & Honor Guard Room with a total stripping and waxing every six months. The carpet in the Administration Building will be shampooed and cleaned quarterly. The bathroom floors in the Maintenance Building, Public Restrooms and Honor Guard will be pressure washed bi-monthly. Janitorial closet's will be maintained in a clean and orderly manner. No chemicals will be stored in the janitorial closets. | ||
