Municipal Waste

The purpose ofthis Request forProposal, hereinafterreferred toas RFP, is to enter into a contract with a qualified contractor to provide services for municipal waste and recycling collections, delivery, and disposal for Riverton City. The company hereinafter may be referred to by the following terms: Company, Firm, Consultant and/or Contractor. Riverton City hereinafter may be referred to as the City. The agreement will be in accordance with requirements set forth in the terms of agreement of this RFP. The contract will begin July 1, 2023. The term of this contract will be for a period of five (5) years, with one (1) five-year (5) option to renew, determined by the city. This Agreement does not create any joint venture partnership, undertaking or business arrangement between the parties hereto nor any rights or benefits to third parties. The contractual relationship between the City and Contractor out of this Agreement is one of independent contractor and not agency. It is understood that Contractor shall not be deemed an employee of the City, and Contractor has no authority to enter into legally binding obligations on behalf of the City. It is specifically understood by the parties that: (a) the City has no interest in or responsibilities for or duty to third parties as a result of this Agreement, (b) Contractor shall have full power and authority over services performed subject to the obligations of Contractor set forth in this Agreement.
