Yaphank Correctional Facility Administration Area Demolition

The work consists of the following: Demolition of existing interior walls, finishes, electrical and plumbing. demolition and disposal of interior walls, ceilings, flooring, glazing, steel grating and related conduit and piping A maximum of five percent (5%) of the twelve percent (12%) MBE goal will be allowed for Women Business Enterprise (WBE) subcontractor. 1. complete demolition and disposal of first floor walls, ceilings, slab, door, plumbing fixtures and lighting as per plans. 2.complete removal and disposal of the non-working heating systems (boiler and water heater). 3.electrical wiring, telephone and data not part of the existing security system is to be cut and capped. 4.all plumbing fixtures are to be removed and properly capped off with the intention of reconnection in the future. 5.after all removals are complete, the floor slabs are to be patched to ensure there are no holes, missing sections of concrete, or large gaps that will make the space unsafe. 6.all smoke detection, fire alarm and security systems are to be kept in proper working order.
