Description | Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Contract term: 12 months The Capital District Transportation Committee (CDTC) is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) carrying out federal requirements for cooperative transportation planning and programming in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties (except for the Town of Moreau and the Village of South Glens Falls) in New York State. CDTC is requesting expressions of interest from qualified firms or individuals to undertake the Albany & Crane Streets Complete Streets Study in the City of Schenectady, New York. This project was proposed with the purpose of creating a detailed plan for transforming Albany and Cranes Streets into safer, more walkable, and bike-friendly, accessible corridors that connect to downtown Schenectady. The plan will build upon ongoing redevelopment activity and investment in the Mont Pleasant and Hamilton Hill neighborhoods and Crane Street corridor and expand and strengthen mobility choices for residents, particularly transit connectivity. The study is being funded by the CDTC and the City of Schenectady through CDTC's 2022-23 Unified Planning Work Program as part of the Community and Transportation Linkage Planning Program. The study has a fixed budget of $90,000 for consultant services. CDTC, on behalf of the City of Schenectady, will administer the consultant contract and will jointly manage the study with the City. CDTC and the City of Schenectady would like to see this study completed within 12 calendar months from the date of contract execution. Jen Ceponis will serve as the project manager and will be the primary contact for technical and administration questions. Contact Latanya Sellie at CDTC for a complete copy of the REI. Both Jen and Latanya can be reached by calling 518-458-2161 or emailing cdtc@cdtcmpo.org. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. |
