Description

This work will consist of installing the 2D X-ray spectroscopic CdTe detector into FDA’s spectral small-angle X-ray scattering imaging benchtop system for testing. Images of basic physical head phantoms, as well as an anthropomorphic phantom will acquired to estimate the Aß load. Performance with this new system will be compared to the conventional MRI and PET imaging systems. FDA will use this detector for testing development of phantoms by accurately measuring their x-ray scatter and attenuation properties.
