Description

Work consists of furnishing and installation of speed humps, permanent signage, and pavement marking as detailed in these Contract Documents and as directed by the Department of Public Works. Construction of variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, Pavement grinding, pavement marking, furnish and installation of Signage, barricading, etc.; Your bid must meet the Detailed Specifications and the Plans for this particular project. You must agree to comply with all applicable requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101, et seq. The bid must be signed as set forth in the General Specifications and must comply with all the requirements therein set forth, or it will not be considered. If submitted by a corporation, the bid proposal must bear the corporate seal. Bid security hereinafter specified must be submitted with your bid. If a bid bond is used, it must be sealed by the bonding company and be accompanied by an affidavit of no interest and a copy of a power of attorney. Bonding agents must be licensed to do business in the State of Wisconsin. Bids received after the date and the time above specified will not be opened and read and will be deemed rejected. All work on the locations without utility work shall be completed by October 1, 2022. The completion date for the locations that have utility work is November 1, 2022. Any additional locations added to this contract shall be assigned completion dates as necessary to ensure the timely completion of the contracted work. Liquidated Damages, per diem: $500.00/Day Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractors Base Bid. For those bids being submitted through electronically and using a manual Bond, the contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bid bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov
