Description

Debris Removal: 1)Provide emergency debris removal on mosquito control dikes. 2) Types of debris include: plant matter that can be chipped on-site and recycled, large stumps that must be hauled-off to approved recycling landfills/other, trunks that must be cut before being hauled-off, and rip-rap, that must be relocated to the shoreline with, or without, geotextile underlayment repair. Dike Repair: 1) Provide emergency dike repair of mosquito control dikes 2) Components of repairs include: shoreline rip-rap replacement (12-24 inch), geotextile replacement and re-burial (toed-in min. 2 feet deep on either side of 15 foot wide driveable area of dike), vinyl sheetpile weir reconstruction for protection of major breach sites, dike base/sub-base replacement (cyds of Florida Fill) and dike cover replacement (4 inch roadbase/coquina on top of geotextile and covered with 4 inch Florida Fill), and grassing (based on sq. yd. with a combination of Rye and Bermuda being employed).
