Dade County Courthouse Basement Column/Slab Remediation

The project consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, including all associated permits, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of the project, which shall include all structural column and slab remediation as described below and identified in the construction documents. The scope entails the following: demolition; concrete restoration and steel rehabilitation of the existing 140+ columns located in the basement; placement of a new floor slab; and installation of a new waterproofing membrane system over the existing basement. As part of the scope of work, the contractor will need to repair/reinforce/protect the existing steel columns, place temporary shoring, phase all of the construction, fire alarm, fire protection, drainage, plumbing work and have dewatering onsite. (Refer to construction documents for details). All inspections shall be performed by the City of Miami and/or Special Inspector during normal business hours. The contractor shall work closely with the Internal Services Department Project Manager, Courthouse Building Manager, and the Project Engineer for coordination and all project related items.
