Description

Project is to rehabilitate exterior components of the Main Immigration Building on Ellis Island, including exterior window finishes, exterior re-pointing, replace deteriorated clerestory windows, replace failing skylights, and repair portions of the terra cotta roof. This project will completely replace all eight non-historic 1980s era clerestory windows that illuminate the Great Hall of the Main Immigration Building. The existing hardware will be removed and salvaged, if compatible with the new window systems.
