Description

The equipment for replacement configuration consists of the following tasks: a) 9th Street Gate (outside bollard to inside pump house) two lanes, 11 in ground bollards, with one shared bollard in the middle b) 10th Street Gate (outside bollard to inside pump house) three lanes, 14 in ground bollards, with one shared bollard between lanes one and two and one shared bollard between lanes two and three. The current RFK MJB Bollard Security system is a Delta Scientific DSC720 bollard system (with P-551 hydraulic pump units that required multiple accumulators due to the distance from the pump unit to the bollards. In addition to the individual Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) tied to each P-551 unit, a master PLC exists to coordinate the action of the individual P-551 units at 9th and 10th streets.). The P-551 systems will be referred to by number repeatedly by number, to avoid confusion the systems will be numbered as follows. The 10th street Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) systems are numbered 1-3 from left to right when standing, facing the units from the door of their mechanical room. The 9th street HPU directly across from the doorway is referred to as system 1. The system to the right of the doorway, directly under the 9th street master PLC box is referred to as system 2.
