Description

Design and Build a New 30 ft. x 50 ft. Garage at the Center for Freshwater Research & Education (CFRE) Question Deadline 05/15/2023 at 2:00 PM ET LAKE SUPERIOR STATE UNIVERSITY is seeking proposals from qualified general contractors to provide all labor, tools, equipment, expertise, etc. for renovations as specified within the attached specifications, requirements and drawings. The work is comprised in general as: Design and Build a New 40 ft x 60 ft. Garage at the Center for Freshwater Research and Education (CFRE). 1. 40' x 60' Garage on concrete foundation 2. Metal exterior run horizontally with dark color and lighter colored soffit to match design ofthe adjacent CFRE building (e.g., dark brown); exterior siding base ofburnished block to match the Barch CFRE building 3. Metal roof, single, sloping on high side ofroofto the west 4. Single oversized garage door(s) to accommodate delivery trucks & boats (tall and wide) with automated garage door opener(s) with key pad on exterior 5. Single walk-in door on side of garage 6. Electrical wiring; outlets and lighting 7. Two (2) floor drains, Trench drains, width ofbuilding 8. Plumbing to building, outdoor spigot, and indoor floor mount utility/mop sink with spigot for washing gear/boats 9. Enclosed room, 12' x 40', heated with bench provided for workshop space, single door 10. Stairwell and 2nd floor (Unfinished)for additional cold storage(lst floor needs to be at least 12' high to allow pulley's for hanging nets) 11. Cement apron at entrance 40' wide x 20'
