TU4 Accessible Building Entrance Renovation at SUNY Upstate

To include all necessary labor, material and equipment for minor architectural improvements and site improvements for accessibility to the two main entrances of Upstate Medical University’s Hutchings TU4 Building, on the south elevation of the building. The project includes removal of existing sidewalks, ramps, some landscaping, a planter, an entrance door, and the enclosure on the entrance canopy on the south elevation. There will be modification to the existing curb to provide a new ramp that aligns with the new planned ramp connecting the main sidewalk and the entrances to the building. The existing curb ramp will be removed, and curbing replaces at sidewalk height installed. Construction includes; new ramps and landings to meet accessibility requirements, new concrete access stairs for each entrance, some minor landscape improvements, a new entrance door, modifications to the existing canopy to include new cladding and signage and drainage for the canopy roof. The scope of work is limited to exterior improvements and does not include any interior modifications.
