Description | This work includes the demolition and removal of all items necessary for the completion of the work as shown on the contract documents, including but not limited to, asphalt base and surfacing, concrete paving, and designated vegetation. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with "Bid No. 2023-72 Vista Street and Oakland Avenue Improvements" clearly marked on the outside of the envelope for easy identification by the City of Florence. Any bids received later than the specified time will not be accepted/considered. The city does not accept email and/or electronic bid. The city will not be responsible for late submission caused by the postal service, other carriers, or any other delivery problems regardless of the reason. Bids submitted by mail, Federal Express, United Parcel Service, etc. must meet these same requirements and should be addressed location- Vista Street and Oakland Avenue Question Deadline 10/03/2023 at 5:00 PM ET Questions concerning this bid should be directed to the City Purchasing Agent, Lynwood F. Givens in writing or by e-mail at lgivens@cityofflorence.com. Any changes to the specifications and plans in the bid package shall be in writing via addendum. All addendums will be posted to the City of Florence website at electronically. This work includes the demolition and removal of all items necessary for the completion of the work as shown on the contract documents, including but not limited to, asphalt base and surfacing, concrete paving, and designated vegetation. A. This Section shall apply to all excavation. B. Construct all permanent work in areas free from water. Design, construct and maintain all dikes, levees, cofferdams and diversion and drainage channels as necessary to maintain the areasfree from water and to protect the areasto be occupied by permanent work from water damage. Remove temporary works after they have served their purpose. C. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the stability of all temporary and permanent slopes, grades, foundations, materials and structures during the course of the Contract. Repair and replace all slopes, grades, foundations, materials and structures damaged by water, both surface and subsurface, to the lines, grades and conditions existing prior to the damage, at no additional cost to the OWNER. |
