Description | The DOCJT Indoor Firing Range will be a 42,794 square feet training facility located on the DOCJT campus in Richmond, Kentucky. The new facility will be developed on an approximate 5.5 acre site with associated parking, roads and utilities. The structure will replace an outdated semi-enclosed firing range that is in a current state of major disrepair. The new facility will include a new indoor 50-yard, 30 lane tactical firing range and accommodate a supporting staff of 14. Estimated Length of Project: 540 (Substantial Completion) + 30 (Final Completion) No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instructions to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bonds should be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served. No questions will be answered at the site visit. All technical questions shall be emailed to the architect/engineer of record for this project. All procurement questions shall be directed to buyer of record for this project. Addendum #1-7 have been issued as of 4-21-2023.
